The new Twintone Mark III has been redesigned and improved. Of course, the best features of the Twintone I and II have remained. Because the cabinet is slightly larger, the amp has a deeper and warmer low-end, but still offers as well-defined and open a sound as its earlier versions. Its compact size and relatively light weight give you no idea of the power, versatility and ease of use that this amplifier has to offer. Two EL34 power amplifier tubes deliver 50 watts of power. The Twintone III has five speaker jacks for connecting 4, 8 and 16 ohm speaker cabinets. The excellent sounding "Clean" channel has not been changed in this new version and gives you the same wonderfully warm and crystal clear clean sounds that you are used to from the Twintone. However, the Overdrive channel has been redesigned and improved. The crunch and lead tones give you a more complex and rich sound without losing its definition and depth. With these two channels, you can switch from a pristine clean sound to exciting "crunch" sounds to saturated overdrive with infinite sustain.The "Bright Clean" guitar input trims the mids a bit for humbucking pickups and ensures that the pure tone of the Twintone III is available for all types of guitar pickups. Also new are the two separate, foot-switchable master volumes on the front panel: Rhythm and Solo Volume. The presence control has been moved from the overdrive channel to the power amplifier section. This creates a more authentic sparkle on both the Clean and Overdrive channels. The long reverb spiral has a level control on the back for the right amount of effect. Of course, the amplifier still has its recording output, the filter of which has been revised. The output now offers true speaker emulation for a great, authentic recording of your favorite guitar sound.
